I was so excited to team up with Stephanie Galvan-Russell AKA Lispy Librarian to present on graphic novels at the 2018 Fall Media Conference. We spoke about why including graphic novels in the library collection is beneficial to struggling readers, resources to help build collections, and then had an amazing book tasting event!

This is not a drill. I repeat: THIS IS NOT A DRILL! I am hyperventilating, and running around the room, to express my absolute gratitude for being this year's Region One Fall Media Conference Keynote Speaker! Once again, I teamed up with Harlingen CISD librarian, Vilia Garcia, to deliver an AMAZING presentation about social media in libraries. Our focus was to encourage librarians from across the valley to gain momentum in creating a social media presence for their libraries. Our work is valuable and we need to market ourselves to ensure the viability of our careers!
