If you know me at all then you know I have a love of all things spooky. Halloween is a holiday, I believe skulls qualify as home decor, and "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" belongs in Hall of Fame. As the horror gods would have it, @rachaelreads and I have bonded over our love of middle grade /YA horror, podcasts, fall weather, and our dream of living in haunted houses with wicked cool libraries. Until that happens, I'll be joining Rachael on Shelf 133, a podcast where we relive the love of 90s horror and all the things that accidentally triggered our crippling anxiety. Hi, everyone! Claudio Zavala put out a new tutorial a couple of days ago and I thought it would be fun to put a spin to this cool new trick! I made a project using my name, but definitely considering using this as a "One Word" for 2024 activity with my students, creating historical figure posters, and more! Thinking of how I could use it in the library, I created new signage for some of the sections and / or genres in the library. I'm still not done lol. I'll be slowly creating the ones for non-fiction and also variations of the text placement of these that I'm linking below. However, feel free to adapt and reuse as needed! Something to consider is that the link isn't available for mobile yet so you may need a computer to access. I also highly recommend watching Claudio's tutorial and seeing what cool things you could create! I'd love to see your projects! Wishing you a Happy New Year!!
